Pupcakes
Looking for the pawfect dessert for your pupper’s special day? Whether you’re celebrating a gotcha day, birthday, or graduation from training, here’s a special treat they’ll go crazy for!
Yield = 16 pupcakes
Pupcakes:
2 cups whole wheat flour
½ cup old fashioned oats
4 teaspoons baking powder
1 cup organic pumpkin puree
½ cup organic coconut oil or vegetable oil
4 large eggs
3 large carrots, peel and shredded
Frosting:
8 ounces cream cheese, room temperature
½ cup NATURAL peanut butter (double-check it does NOT contain Xylitol)
Garnish to top pupcakes
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350F and using regular-size muffin pans, line with paper or tin metal cups
Combine all ingredients, except carrots, in a large bowl. Once mixed, add carrots
Using a large scooper fill muffin cups
Bake 15-20 minutes until a toothpick inserted comes out clean. Cookie times will vary depending on your pans/ovens, check at 15 minutes!
Remove and cool completely on rack
In a medium size mixing bowl using a hand mixer, whip the cream cheese and peanut butter until fluffy
Place your frosting in a piping bag with a medium star tip or in a quart size plastic bag and cut ¼” off one of the bottom corners
Pipe in a circle starting on the outside and rotate bag clockwise toward center.
Top with your favorite dog cookie treat

Additional Notes:
Can be baked in a small cake pan! Cooking times vary.
